**$16 hr – Part Time Overnight 7pm – 7am Position**

Responsibilities

Patient Access Associate job responsibilities include:

  • Welcomes and greets all patients in person or over the phone
  • Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette
  • Responsible for maintaining patient waiting areas, office files, and front-desk areas in a manner that is clean and organized
  • Registers patients and updates existing demographic information with a high rate of accuracy
  • Facilitates patient flow by notifying the clinical staff of patients’ arrivals, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
  • Responds to patients, prospective patients, and visitor inquiries in a courteous manner
  • Keeps office supplies adequately stocked and notifies the manager of any inventory needs
  • Protects patient confidentiality by making sure Protected Health Information is secured by not leaving PHI in plain sight and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended. This includes not sharing passwords or personal information with coworkers
  • Displays professionalism, tact, respect, and team effort when working with coworkers, and the public
  • Maintains communication with patients, family, providers, nurses, and support staff
  • Informs patients of any existing balance noted in the computer and request patients be prepared for any payment due at the time of service as per company guidelines
  • Collects copays and payments as necessary as per company guidelines

**PRN Night Shift; Salary $36.00 – $40.00** Waco / Woodway locations

Responsibilities

Radiology/CT Technologist Essential Job Functions:
The employee must be able to perform each essential function effectively to be successful in this position.

  • Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination.
  • Explains and prepares patients for radiological procedures that will be performed, producing diagnostic images in such a manner to ensure patient care and safety.  
  • Protects patients, self and staff from radiation exposure by using ALARA and practicing sound procedures which meet or exceed recommended industry standards.
  • Obtains quality diagnostic images as requested by provider. Maintains a low repeat rate.
  • Adjusts equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.  
  • Ensures that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Immediately reports any equipment malfunctions to the Imaging Manager.
  • Provides timely and adequate documentation.
  • Maintains all patient X-Ray files in a confidential and secure manner.
  • Maintains cleanliness in all diagnostic imaging rooms and stocks necessary radiological supplies.    
  • Works closely with the provider(s) to receive guidance and instruction for treating patients.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills to ensure optimal patient care and promotes a positive working environment.  
  • Assists with maintaining an updated CT protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Assists with training of new associates, providing resources and technical expertise.
  • With appropriate training and competency validation, performs other job duties as assigned and within the scope of their practice. Such as venipuncture, lab operations, obtaining vital signs, EKG, and other delegated tasks within the facility.

Skills & Qualifications

Radiology/CT Technologist Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Possess thorough knowledge of radiologic procedures used in patient’s treatment, thorough knowledge of safety and proper usage of all mechanical and electrical equipment used in radiology, and knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, and physics as applied to diagnostic imaging of the human body.   Applicant must be able to work independently in CT/X-ray and possess the ability to communicate well with patients, guests, staff members and physicians.

Some minimal travel may be required between sites of operations.

**Full-Time Day Shift; Salary $42.00**

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN) job responsibilities include:

               

  • Provides patient-focused nursing care of the acutely ill or injured patient. Utilizes the core nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating and correlating accurate documentation to reflect the course of treatment.  
  • Ensures patient care is holistic, compassionate and meets both the clinical and spiritual/emotional needs of the patient.
  • Triages and prioritizes patient care based on acuity level and available resources. Implements the care plan and monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Works collaboratively with other disciplines to provide well-coordinated patient care. Promotes a positive attitude for good interpersonal, interdepartmental, and inter-facility relationships. Shows consideration for and maintains good relations with others. Ensures assignments delegated to another team member are within his/her scope of practice, competency, and level of licensure, communicating needs in a clear and concise manner. Assures delegated tasks are completed and accurate.
  • Performs essential job functions within his/her scope of practice and maintains awareness of and adheres to current policies and procedures set forth by Premier as well as other regulatory guidelines set forth by entities including but not limited to The Texas Department of State Health Services, Board of Nurse Examiners and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).
  • Adheres to established laboratory procedures and follows established safety guidelines for working in the laboratory. Processes specimens according to written Laboratory procedures, reporting results and filing paperwork accordingly.
  • Provides basic respiratory services including use of capnography, pulse oximetry, and administration of supplemental oxygen and nebulized aerosolized treatments.
  • Utilizes critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Internally inspired to perform to the best of their ability using his/her own drive or initiative.
  • Maintains composure when confronted with job stress or emergency situations and adapts well to changes in the workplace.
  • Facilitates patient transfer and discharge.
  • Demonstrates a solution-driven attitude. Participates in the development of departmental policies & procedures as well as related documentation by offering recommendations that aligns with current trends in emergency care, represents current standards of care, and supports the focus of Premier to provide family-friendly, compassionate care with little-to-no wait.
  • Attends unit meetings, remaining abreast of current departmental, facility, and organizational goals. Assists in dissemination of information as needed to other team members.
  • Participates in staff assessment and performance evaluations as requested. Fosters a positive environment conducive to staff development.  Cultivates team members by assisting with competency and training as well as promoting ongoing staff education.
  • Diligently executes other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in ongoing professional development.

Skills & Qualifications

Education Qualifications and Credentials:  

  • Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas (or compact license with the State of Texas)
  • Current certification in BLS
  • Current ACLS and PALS are required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required      
  • At least 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department Setting
  • Per CMS requirements, employees working in healthcare are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting employment or be approved for a medical or religious exemption

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations that apply to Freestanding Emergency Centers in addition to the practice of nursing. Possess strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
