As a Patient Access Associate — also known as Front Desk Receptionist, Admissions Specialist, or Patient Services Representative — you’ll help create a seamless, supportive, and responsive patient experience. You’ll handle front-line registration, insurance verification, and time-sensitive administrative needs, while gaining valuable insight into fast-paced clinical operations.

Responsibilities
Patient Access Associate job responsibilities include:
- Warmly welcome office visitors and callers
- Produce and keep updated patient files; help patients with documents
- Certify all insurance information, take copays and other payments
- Answer a multi-line telephone, forwarding calls to the appropriate area
- Keep office area clean and maintain a friendly, welcoming environment
- Comply with all health policies and regulations
Skills & Qualifications
Patient Access Associate required skills & qualifications include:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- A minimum of 6 months of work experience in a healthcare setting or one year of customer service background.
- Basic understanding of insurance preferred.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and billing codes (DRG, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills and customer service is required.
